Pin It On

I think it would be a really neat idea to have all the bridesmaids wear the same shoe clips and have the groomsmen wear the exact same shoe clips for their boutonnieres.

Bright Club

Have you noticed that all the men’s fashion magazines are cramming the trend of bright-colored pants down every man’s throat?  Not that I don’t like bright pants on men, but I don’t know how many REAL men actually feel comfortable wearing bright pants, as evidenced by the less than a dozen men I’ve seen wear this trend on the street.  The thing GQ isn’t telling you is that this is a difficult trend to pull off, even for women.  In order for you not to resemble a clown, you need to keep in mind that there should be no more than one bright article of clothing per outfit.  Also, going all out on your first try is not something I recommend.  If you want to wear more color in your wardrobe, start by choosing darker shades of a color you already like.  And if you still need more time to think about adding a pop of color to your wardrobe, accessories are your best bet for getting acquainted with this trend.  Here are a few accessories that can help you get started:

MENK and the Amazing Sport Coat

For those without disposable incomes, saving money without losing style has always meant one thing: double duty.  Go for items that can be worn in at least two different ways.  MENK makes an incredible sport coat that doubles as a blazer, depending on the height of the zipper.  If wearing it as a blazer, try the t-shirt and scarf combination, or wear a button-down with the top two buttons undone and forget the tie.  If the sport coat is the option du jour, wearing a sweater underneath is probably the best bet.  Or zipper it up all the way and just call it a day.

Bang Bang

Packing a firearm is not meant to happen for everyone.  But if you still have a hankering to wear something that gives you that dapper, James Bond feeling, Cosmic Firefly makes Gold Gun cufflinks that can satisfy that wish.  Detailed with a Colt 45 horse logo on the handle grips, these cufflinks are a great way to add your own personal touch to a somewhat boring French cuff shirt.  Why wait until you have a formal event to show off your cufflinks?  Wear them on your next night out with a blazer, and warn people not to make any sudden moves.

The New Button-down

Do you generally laugh in the face of convention?  Have you recently taken a long, hard look at your button-down shirts and thought to yourself, “These boring things need to be kicked to the curb”?  If you answered yes to either one of these questions, thank your lucky stars that the designers at Bush + Leavenworth have created their own twist to the standard by introducing their Side Pockets Solid button-down Shirt.  The great thing about this shirt is that it’s different without trying too hard to be different.  The pockets are moved to the sides while the buttons are kept hidden, both features adding to a subtle freshness that you don’t find in your average button-down.  Changing up your wardrobe has never been so easy.
